For the parents

Listen and pay attention.

Don’t be the reason your player doesn’t get recruited!

This applies to both high school and travel ball. Don’t be the reason your player doesn’t make a team or get certain opportunities with your current team/program!

Watch and listen.

To all the sports moms and dads.

They were never the one taking the shot. But they were the one who found the shin guard buried in the laundry. Who ran back to the house for your water bottle while you warmed up. Who filled the silence after a tough loss - not always with the right words, but with love that didn’t go anywhere.

They learned to read your face from across the field. To celebrate your effort even when the scoreboard didn’t. To carry your heartbreak in their own quiet way - and still stay strong so you didn’t have to.

They didn’t keep stats. They kept routines, and promises, and your schedule taped to the fridge.

They gave up weekends, sleep, and sometimes their own plans - Not because they had to. Because they wanted to be there. Even when there was just a folding chair, a drizzle, and a hope that you’d find your confidence again.

They weren’t chasing a dream. They were guarding yours.

And somehow, in between the drop-offs and pickups, the pep talks and pizza nights, they taught you what showing up really means.

Let’s celebrate the parents who weren’t in the spotlight - because they were too busy holding the light steady for us.

Two people smiling and standing on a baseball or softball field, with a green fence behind them. One person is wearing a red softball t-shirt and the other a light blue t-shirt.
Three women smiling and holding plates of food at an outdoor event under tents, with other people and a park in the background.
A young girl and an older man giving each other a high five on a sports field. The girl has her hair in a high puff and is wearing a sleeveless sports jersey with the number 51 and the words 'Mama Rebul & Big Mama'. The man is wearing sunglasses, a baseball cap, and a black, red, and white sports jersey with the word 'Pride' on it. In the background, there are trees and parked cars.
A woman and a young girl standing next to a chain-link fence at a sports field or park, with the woman making a peace sign and the girl looking at the camera, next to a water bottle and some electronic devices on a table.
